I have lived in Austin for almost 3 years, and there is no place I would rather be. I think my husband, Brian, is pretty cool, and am crazy about our little pal Liam. We are in the process of adopting a new little one, and hope to have him welcomed into the family any day. I have worked in childcare for several years now, and opened a preschool in July of 2007. The school has been created not only for the children, but also to be a haven for amazing teachers to feel appreciated and respected. I opened "Miss Julie's Learning Center" in Lakeway, TX, July 30, 2007. It's an amzing center with a dedicated staff and fun parents. My plan is finally coming together, and while my whole life I thought it would be an evil genious plan, it turns out I'm a pretty simple person! I love being the director, although I would say Leslee is more in the role than I am most days! Being the owner is a whole different ball game though! It can be super stressful, but as I get older I find that stress is a pretty big motivator! And I know for sure that without my family and Leslee, none of this would have taken shape. I know people who knew me in high school and college are probably amazed, but I guess everybody grows over time. At least I sure hope we all do eventually!
Important things to know about me if you want to get along with me, are
1. I don't care what you believe in as long as you can back it up.
2. I don't care if you make a million mistakes as long as you say you are sorry.
3. I'd go to bat for anyone I considered a friend, and most other people too.
4. I wear my political views on my sleeve, and never back down from a fight.
5. There is nothing bad that can shock me anymore, I have seen the best human beings have to offer and the worst, and there is not nearly enough good. So step it up people.
