My name is Bartek, which means I'm from Poland. Big whoop, Wanna fight about it?
I live in Phoenix currently, but definitely not permanently. I stay here because I've got a great job working for myself. No boss, no annoying coworkers, no meaningless meetings, just me and my huge corner office. On the side, I also invest. And as boring as that may sound, it is alot of fun, but my job in no way defines me. In fact, I'm surprised at my own ability to live two entirely different lives, in and out of the office. It serves me well.
My long term plans are to retire at a young age and persue the things I really love - travel and philanthropy. That's right, I said it. Yes, it's my goal to leave no stone unturned on this entire planet, and to have homes in every corner of it - specifically in Australia, the Carribbean, Europe, and the US. And yes, it is also my goal to eventually be in a position from which I can contribute to a few of my favorite causes. Grandiose? Perhaps, but a guy has to have something to strive towards, right?
It's important to me that my lifestyle reflects my values, and that my actions positively impact the world (and myself). I don't want to save the world - I just want to change it, especially for one other special person.
In my off-time, of which I arrange to have an ample supply, I enjoy many things. Among them are music (recording & producing), travel, writing, art & design, movies, clubs, museums, and out-door activities. Health and physical fitness are of great importance to me, and should be to my partner as well, since without your health, you've got nothing. As such, I try to stay active.
I'm a risk taker, that's certain. I recently jumped out of a perfectly good plane for the first time... Nothing like facing your own mortality to make you appreciate your life.
At the end of the day, I'd say honesty is of paramount importance to me. I don't have anything to hide, and I don't really care for people who hide things. It's okay to have secrets, but when you lie, it necessitates more lies (and pictures of also lies), and it snowballs out of control. I'm not a megalomaniac, by any means, but I like being in control of my life.
