One of the youngest up and coming Dj’s in Vancouver, Dj Frisk’s journey began long before he touched a pair of turntables... growing up as a kid, he was always the first one to find all the new music, and would always be the one bringing CD’s to the parties. From the age of 9, he was enrolled in drum lessons, which gave him some very valuable skills in beatmatching, and picking out various components of a song. As a BBoy in his teen years, he had always been interested in Dj-ing and hip hop culture, and in January of 2003, he finally made the decision to trade in his drum set for a pair of technics 1200’s and a mixer. Not knowing anything about how to DJ, he spent a good year taping mixshows off the radio, watching any DJ movie he could get his hands on, and struggling to teach himself how to DJ. Eventually, he started getting better, and in his grade 12 year, landed a job with a production company called Juice Productions. He spent the next few years Dj-ing at countless school dances/grads/house parties and even the occasional wedding, giving him experience playing in front of crowds, and helping him learn the ropes of the industry. In 2006, he officially teamed up with Left-Coast Promotions and made his debut into the Vancouver club circuit as one of the city’s youngest up and coming Dj’sNow it’s 2007, and in only a year, he has managed to land himself a friday night residency at Atlantis, one of the city’s hottest and most sought after nightclubs.Make sure to stay posted about upcoming events and mixtapes, because big things are in store for this young and talented DJ.******CLICK ON IMAGE TO DOWNLOAD*****
