What makes a real emcee? What does a real song sound like? Well the time and place for questions like that to be answered is now! KD is the answer to these things and more. At the ripe age of 17 this artist is a problem for the rappers in the game today. "I'm not like anyone else you've heard before, I'm only myself, that's the only person I know how to be," KD states when descriping himself. Since he first started rhyming at 12 you could feel his words and the powerful verses that they created. Originally from Boston, Ma the Bean Town native moved to Atlanta when he was 9 and there he first began to craft his skill. KD began to get recognized around his hood when he started joining in ciphers in the cafeteria of his high school as a freshman. From there he started crushing other local rappers in battles around the city. Not long after KD began to really sit down and craft his skill from just freestyle sessions to real songs. Now years later KD is truly beginning to prove himself as a true artists and a factor in the game. "I have my own unique style that gives me an advantage over others when I'm on the streets or in the booth. That's what separates me from your average rapper with a flow." KD is definitely unique from his delivery and flow to his subject matter. Word of mouth is what got KD to the position he is in today. After sparking a name for himself like anywhere people began to talk. In a conversation one of KD's friends was speaking to another local artist Syd Vicious who began to be shocked at the thought that someone so young was making moves and progressing as KD was. After hearing a few war stories of KD's past battles he decided he had to hear the kid spit in person. The phone call was made and in a matter of minutes KD was at Syd's crib dropping bar after bar after bar of flames. A few days later Syd had told his partner Double there was someone he needed to hear. KD meet up with them both and dropped of few sixteens of fire. From there it led to the creation of the Rebellion Records crew that we see today. Now after being featured on Double and Syd's mixtapes KD is wrapping up work on his own solo mixtape project. "This is it right here, this mixtape is my introduction to the world on a bigger level. I'm tired of the garbage that's been polluting the airwaves lately I'm here to change it up." KD plans to release his mixtape "Reign of Fire Vol. 1" in early 2008. Focus and organization are a few keys too success that KD owns. As well as a hard work ethic and a business mind frame to make it in the music industry. "People often make the mistake that the music business is just the music business. The music business isn't JUST the music business its the business of music. People don't succeed because they don't realize that." The blueprint is here and the foundation is being laid for the future of the hip-hop and KD plans to be a leading factor in that future.
