Sydystyk Vicious or “Syd Vicious†was born in Houston Texas on September 30th 1981. Born into a family of three, he became the fourth and last member to join this struggling family’s legacy. Forced to move due to the extreme elevation of Houston’s crime rate, Syd’s parents decided to try Atlanta, Georgia. However, the streets of Atlanta were one in the same with the streets of Houston so with hopes of finding a safer environment they would move to Marietta, Georgia.
Marietta GA. was no different than anywhere else. Dope boys where still on the block, jack boys where still robbing people, and people where still getting killed! Seeing this growing up, Syd ended up running with the hustlas’, never actually selling crack or cocaine, but just about everything else he could get his hands on and make money from. Syd’s parents couldn’t really afford to support him right so he took to the streets to make what he needed to get what he wanted.
You may be asking yourself; well what does this have to do with rapping and Hip-Hop? EVERYTHING! Ever since Syd was seven years old or younger he can remember spitting freestyles with his older brother Steven a.k.a. KHRISIS and older cousin Chris. Syd’s brother and cousin loved Hip-Hop so much they would rap and dance all day watching videos and listening to the radio. Syd was never really into rap back then, at least not like they were. He saw the videos as corny and a lot of the songs were just as wack. Needless to say he didn’t enjoy rap music as much as his brother and cousin.
As Syd grew older, rap music got better, and his interest in it grew stronger. However, Syd didn’t completely except his fate as a emcee until February 23, 2000 when his older brother and best friend Steven died in a violent car accident. This would change Syd’s life forever! “ You can live your life perfect, never smoke or drink, lie or steal, and still get in a car wreck and die anyway!!! From now on I will live life to the fullest and except my fate and responsibility as a emcee. I owe it to my brother, Steven D. Hickson who failed the mission to continue fourth and spread his word and love of music. After that, Syd, then known as Tantrum The Animal switched his flow and his name to Sydystyk Vicious and signed his first recording contract with Soultaker Entertainment. Five years later, he started his own label Rebellion Records or the Rebel-Lion Crew.
As you know, our other Hip-Hop Kings Entertainment artist Double is very much a part of the Rebel-Lion Crew. To go with that, both artists are involved in an up and coming project, so we have decided to rep both artist, and thank them for there support.
Rebel-Lion Crew will be bringing the truth is 2006 with Hip-Hop Kings Entertainment. Don’t sleep
