Directors: Bryan Singer. Steven Spielberg. George Lucas. Michael Rymer. This list could go on so I'm just gonna stop while I'm ahead.
Writers: Philip K. Dick and Isaac Asimov. Yes, I know they're dead, but I still wanna meet them. :D And of the living: Jeff Lindsay, Stephen King, Nick Hornby and Tanya Huff. Oh, also Dan Brown & Ian McEwan just so I can ask how they write such utter crap that people actually *like*.

Lots. Right now I'm reading Legends of the Fall (Jim Harrison - thanks, Adie!), Ender's Game (Orson Scott Card - thanks again, Adie!), re-reading Darkly Dreaming Dexter (Jeff Lindsay - No thanks this time, Adie! :P), and going through the poetry of C.P. Cavafy and Lord Byron.
