My Interests

I'd like to meet:

In life there are many important faces in the entertainment business such as Russell Simmons, Sean “P. Diddy” Combs, Sean “Jay-Z” Carter, Tyra Banks, Oprah Winfrey and emerging event producer George “Soulgee” McQueen who happens to be Truly, Real, Inside, & Out. At the age of three in 1983, George “Soulgee” McQueen was known for performing Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean” making the sharp turns, and high kicks, and moving like a smooth criminal. Neighborhood folks referred to him as the lil Michael Jackson of the community, as he could pick up any dance and move to any beat just like Mike. It was then that Soulgee began his journey in performing arts. In 1987, Soulgees talent was recognized when he played Martin Luther King for his second grade school play. Teachers began telling him that he would one day be a star, and from then on Soulgee has been apart of any and everything to do with the arts. In 1995 Soulgee performed for his communities “Basic Black” organization performing Whitney Houston’s “Greatest Love Of All” where folks begin to once again fall in love with the talented young performer. He performed for his Junior High School chorus traveling to different communities, showing others what he could do and would one day be famous for. In 1996 Soulgee was cast for a musical play “Ophrin Prip Chec” where he played as one of the orphans, the play centered the holocaust. In that same year he was cast for a play “Like That” with the mind builder’s organization where he played a young thug being guided in the right direction. In 1997 which was a busy year for Soulgee he was cast in his High School play “Into the woods” he played the big bad wolf, and Rapunzel’s prince, where he receive a thunderous applause, and standing ovation for his comical yet dramatic performance. In 1999 while working for a fashion designer he walked in a fashion show and became really interested in modeling, in that same year he also began to write poems, plays, and songs as well. Many became aware of his writing skills which pushed him to do even more with his talent. Through each and every experience Soulgee begin to write. He would write transforming emotion and experiences on paper for all to see and love. In the year 2000 Soulgee began performing in numerous spoken word lounges, The Nuyorican poet’s café, Brooklyn Moon, Lenox lounge, and many more showing others the gift that God gave him, while pursing his bachelors degree in communications. Soulgee says being spiritually guided by God and the Saint Paul’s Baptist church in Brooklyn along with family and friends, kept him pushing forward to pursue his dream. In late 2005, Soulgee began an organization called TRIO ENTERTAINMENT (Truly, Real, Inside & Out), with the idea of working with artists who have great potential, promoting them in the NYC communities to bring awareness of their existence. Soulgee says “As an artist there were many times that I wanted to network but never knew who to talk to, where to go, or how to go about networking, so when beginning my business venture with TRIO it was to help artist to network”. Soulgees goal with TRIO ENTERTAINMENT is bringing people together in love and support of one another, helping people gain recognition for what they love to do, and entertaining the people who come out to support the artist. In October 2006 Soulgee had his very first showcase TRIO Ent presents "ABOVE AND BEYOND NEW YORK" with emerging artist of all forms, Hip-Hop, Vocalist, Comedians, Models, Dancers, and Fashion Designers; All who were very satisfied after being showcased to the NYC communities. In an interview Soulgee was asked if there were any celebrity participation, and his answer was “There were no known celebrities, but all the artist that played a part in the show really have there foot in the door to being what I call the Now, New, and Next people in the Entertainment Industry.” In June 07 Soulgee and the TRIO Ent staff presented "A NIGHT IN CAIRO:DESIGNERS ON THE RISE" 10 of New York cities hottest emerging fashion designers, with models ripping the runway. In the meantime Soulgee is apart of many organizations, and has started his own Public Relations firm "McQueen Media" where he represents clients such as The Retro Kidz, Dana Dane, the Da Doo-Dirty radio show, Raine Magazine, Ice T & Coco, Kwame “IT” Smalls (I Love NY2), Flawless (Hip Hop recording Artist), Felicia "Snoop" Pearson, Anwan Glover, Film Director Surakhan, the S.O.Y.T.A. program (Saving Our Youth Through Arts), just to name a few. He is also apart of organizations such as Cruz films& Productions, Blackout Arts Collective, and Dabar writing ministry, where he focuses on activism through the arts, culture, spirituality, and education. Soulgee believes in life there are many faces but TRIO ENTERTAINMENT is Truly, Real, Inside, & Out.
