Greetings... shouts to the musical network of DJs and producers, and respect to all those supporting the cause.
Me and my partner DJ Marcus make up the drum and bass production crew known as VISIONARY (a.k.a. Division1), which is signed to over a dozen drum and bass labels, with new tunes being produced almost daily. We also run the profile record labels "Dance Rock", "Lion Dubs", "Rock Steady", "Rock&Groove", and "Dub Rock Soundsystem", all of which have international distribution and major radio airplay worldwide, especially on BBC 1xtra Radio. I've been producing for about 15 years now, every nite and every second I can, and both me and my partner Marcus are never stopping. Its NOT a job if you love what you do;)I also do soundtracks for feature films (did work recently on two tracks for a film called 'SIBLINGS' released in theatres nationwide last year), commercial soundtracks (currently have worked on such commercials as: JOSE CUERVO / BENJAMIN MOORE / GATORADE / PANASONIC / BUDWIESER... etc-check the video section) as well as working in the day as chief engineer-director of auditions at the fourth largest talent agency in the world, Characters Talent Agency, representing world class actors, directors, and film related talent with divisions in L.A., Toronto, and Vancouver.I also work with troubled youth for a huge international effort called the ACT OUT project, which has now been sponsored by the NELSON MANDELA FOUNDATION and is now a part of the yearly international AIDS conference, of which I am music supervisor for the project. ACT OUT focuses on giving youth who've had a troubled life a chance to get into the arts through acting and theatre, and ultimately gets them started on a new career where they can express themselves, find a hidden talent, and develop internal confidence in a very cool, street-oriented fashion. This is a very positive effort that is already showing large results and being mirrored from Phoenix to Namibia to bring awareness to the youth, and I'm really glad to be a part of it and MAKE A DIFFERENCE in this world.As well, thanks to a government grant from TRILLIUM (a Canadian fund for youth related projects), I have now taken on an extra (but cool!) job building new studios inside locations of the youth help organization St. Alban's Boys and Girls Club in Toronto, to bring young and troubled minds into music, and demystify the art of engineering and production for the future generation.PEACE AND RESPECT to all those who are supporting VISIONARY / DIVISION1, both in the record shops and on the dancefloors worldwide!
