..risen first heard the calling of the drumz in the early 90's through the sounds and influences of underground los angeles dj's r.a.w. a.k.a. bboy 3000, dj trance, crs? and many others.. the highly sought after mixtapes from these artists were an early source of inspiration for the original junglist sound that risen has strived to showcase for the drum 'n bass massive... risen first started dj'ing while under the direction of local legedary dj and jawbreaker jolt founder, the boy wonder.. it was with jawbreaker jolt that risen first became involved with the underground music scene through promoting parties such as 'virus', which was the first to be held at the ringside building in downtown fresno.. jawbreaker jolt were also pioneers in bringing world reknown dj r.a.w and his ruff and rugged sounds to the central valley.. since these early times, risen has progressed and maintained his dedication and devotion to the champion sound and all things jungle..
