Was lucky enough to be supported by these guys in their hometown Le Havre,
and to get a copy of this demo. They did a good party length set, and kept
us grooving the whole time.
1. Shake - Amazing twirly version of dance classic with gorgeous organ &
spiky fuzz guitar
2. Mon père est millionaire - harmonies on this groovy answer to my father
being called Dad
3. Love at psychédélic velocity - you're going to think you've time
travelled for this west coast freak out with a big dollop of reverb and
vocals through a telephone.
4. Beaver patrol - catchy pop riff chorus rides this groovy wig out, till
it's bluesy trail out.
5. Suzie Creamcheese - severely compressed, trippy monkey chant on this
psych classic
6. Lésions si dangereuses - LSD perhaps ? Nice catchy shimmering organ led
track. Great psych keyboard solo at the end.
60's garage & psyché en technicolor it says, and it's so true. The guys play
a set you can groove to, with some songs you'll know and others you'll enjoy
for the first time. Good Vox Continental for the organ sound. They were keen
to point out that this CD was only a garage demo, but it was better than
lots of studio efforts I've heard, and great to hear the full on psychedelic
garage sound behind French lyrics.
