Moody Mel
We advise you to lock up your sons and daughters because a hells stroppy teenager is about to gate crash our ipods, that’s right little kiddies, this is Moody Mel ( given name Emma Day ) your typical messy, moody and musical teen who is a 15yr old singer/songwriter from Birmingham and happens to be like most growing girls these days, you know, deeply insecure and has the stupid hormones raging all over the place. But this teen does her best and tries not to fit in and be like all the other singers. To the pack she is NO Lily Allen nor a Kate Nash with the flowing Vintage dresses and Ms Nashes 60's patterned dresses, instead she mixes and matches and goes for the gleaming butterflies in the hair, colourful mad leggings and skeletons on shoes.
But by night her feelings and thoughts come out to play and her life becomes a sad black and white rocky horror movie, so to pass the time she walks endlessly around a grey, gloomy basement in her mind. While having another pressure of trying to get to sleep and being the famous princess she is in her dreams, she writes her lyrics up on the wall and goes into her little fantasy world where she thinks hard about the boy she has become heavily obsessed with on TV over the past yrs, named Alex. By night she is called, Chasing Amy.
It was at the sweet age of 4yrs old that our angel eyed princess (moody Mel) took up an expensive interest, which she has indulged in like chocolate more and more every second of each day. It was every Saturday a trip up to her near by shopping centre that got the little moody Mel elves in her work away on her London-ish voice ’Every Saturday we would always go up to our nearest shopping centre and on the way there in the car we would always have to listen to my dads awful records which I weirdly loved at the time’’ moody Mel explains ‘’I think that’s when I got totally inspired by music’’.
But it really all began when once upon a time, deep down in her fairyland that has led her to the way she is today. It was some motherfucker witch’s that dragged her out of her lovely special needs school and clapped there hands and dissolved moody Mels pink and flowery world into thin air, only to find herself awake in the fog of a Primary school playground. Whilst she could see the other kids around her playing in the sun ,nearly everyone of them everyday would creep into the daze and beat her up and call her gruesome names, but gained a few good and bad friends from the experience ( a few she keeps in touch with from this very day )
While serving her selfish needs and becoming this withdrawn doll behind bars, through the yrs she began to feel like she could have a voice again and learnt herself a new skill, which was song writing, about her dark, lonely world. After a few yrs of expiring crap and pain, a fairy godmother (her counsellor) unlocked part of the spell on her daze and introduced her to some musicians.
But don’t be fooled to thinking though she’s having a grand time she‘s having a ball, for our Moody Mel to unbrake the full spell on her, she has to once again work her fingers to the bone, in a dingy studio on all different types of music such as spooky edgy pop punk to vintage skater pop, with the sounds and song writing talents such as, Natasha Bedingfield, Kate Nash, Lily Allen Pink and Danni McCormack. (Nearly all related myspace success artists).
After the fairy god mothers mission is complete, she will then be awaiting for a handsome prince from a record company (unfortunelty not Alex) to come along and give her the kiss of life and awaken this sleeping beauty from her fantasy world only to find herself awake, this time in a colourful nightclub, singing away, people cheering her, while having a tipple or five and finally meeting the man of her dreams (Alex) least then she can say, ‘’I’m living happily ever after
