About Me

i design closets. i like the color blue. i live in a house with more computers than people. i make a mean shepherd's pie. i hear music with all five senses. i don't know how to write in cursive. i think the guys at homestarrunner.com are just about the funniest people on earth. i'm extremely sarcastic (but not at all cynical. weird). i'm not entirely sure what my natural hair color is. i write with my right hand, but do everything else with my left. i believe that for the most part, people are good, and i am proven more and more right with each passing day.

My Interests

being hyperactive--rock climbing--singing (sometimes loudly, sometimes badly, sometimes both)--snowboarding (getting so much better!)--reading--trying to keep in touch with my far-away friends--eating sushi--live music--driving long distances--daydreaming...

I'd like to meet:

"i'm looking for baggage that goes with mine"

Music:

my tastes are pretty random. here's an ever-growing list: rush, belle & sebastian, death cab for cutie, carbon leaf, sams house, the shins, saosin, the disco biscuits, peter gabriel, stereolab, leftover salmon, guster, goldfinger, coheed and cambria, the who, pink floyd, 88 fingers louie, the grateful dead, the postal service, phish, blind man's sun, god street wine, ekoostik hookah, emmet swimming, weekend excursion, radiohead, ween, live, dredg, the format, motion city soundtrack, matchbook romance, social distortion, REM, head automatica, 30 seconds to mars, hellogoodbye, outernational, jeremy kay, alkaline trio, the flaming lips, the samples, james, 8 stops 7, travis, marie wilson, 7 nations, switchfoot, me first and the gimme gimmes, rancid, les claypool, leo kottke, imogen heap, frou frou, the freddy jones band, the string cheese incident, antigone rising, samantha ronson, sublime (and the long beach all-stars), the bridge, and a LOT of others.

Movies:

i honestly have liked just about everything i've seen. favorites include snatch--fight club--eternal sunshine of the spotless mind--the usual suspects--love and sex--love actually--mean girls--zoolander--say anything--lost in translation

Television:

i watch very little TV. shows i would never miss: 24 and nip/tuck. i also really like arrested development (shame on them for canceling it!), the office, the simpsons, and the family guy.

Books:

personal favorites include: wonderland avenue (danny sugerman), the electric kool-aid acid test (tom wolfe), if it were only true (marc levy), and of course, jonathan livingston seagull (richard bach). tom wolfe is by far my favorite author, but i am also a sucker for mindless thriller crap like james grippando and stuart woods.

Heroes:

all of you who have seen me through the wild ups and downs over the past 5 years or so. you are few and far between and i thank you for it.
