Winter is almost here! The American Indian Relief Council provides a variety of services to hundreds of Native American communities on reservations in nine Northern Plains States. Due to the high rates of poverty and unemployment on these reservations, many struggle to provide the necessities of life for their families. Please consider making a donation today at http://www.airc.org.

Some interests would be: concerts, rollercoasters, writing, working with my hands, light website design, reiki, music, movies, playing pool, psychic/paranormal phenomena, comedians, magicians, Cirque du Soleil, Renaissance Fairs, bellydancing, crafting, pistol target shooting, abnormal psychology, biology (normal and especially abnormal), cryptozoology, forensics and true crime (books and shows)... Did you really read all of these? lol
Saw an exciting hobby on Classic ESPN2. It was called "extreme modified shovel racing," that looked FAST; wonder if I'd kill myself doing it? Racing 60+ mph downhill on snow to a finish line in 15 seconds... oh yeah... It looks so exhilarating! If you can't guess, yes I like speed. ;-)
A few celebs would be: Sylvia Browne, Robin Williams, Terri Irwin (RIP Steve), Jack Hanna, Jay Leno (especially while viewing his car collection. lol), Angelina Jolie, Will Smith, Cesar Milan (the Dog Whisperer), Jackie Chan, and Cher.
Also anyone who has a good sense of humor, who can carry on a conversation, and who doesn't mind total randomness of thought and a bit of a wicked side. ;-)
It REALLY depends upon my mood, so tons of artists/bands: Disturbed, Daughtry, Evanescence, Evans Blue, 10years, Shinedown, Seether, Metallica, Linkin Park, Breaking Benjamin, Three Days Grace, Finger Eleven, Nickelback, Def Leppard, Papa Roach, Pat Benatar, Iwori, Adonae, Journey, Avenging Sevenfold, Poison, Bon Jovi, Coldplay, Foreigner, Eagles, 38 Special...
Love movies, so too many to mention - mostly comedies, horror, suspense, some drama and documentaries...What I've seen recently: Flags of Our Fathers, Failure to Launch, Fantastic Four 2...The 300 was intensely incredible and is now on my all-time favorites list... Wow, what a movie!A while back, saw V for Vendetta; it was a great movie!Yes, I know that I'm behind the times on seeing movies in the theatres, but sheesh, at least I'm watching some on tv. ;-p
I can be a tv junkie, so a lot of things. Survivor and Heroes are never-miss or recorded, while Amazing Race, CSI and others aren't *quite* as important to me. I'll definitely be watching Project Runway when it returns.
Growing up, there were many: Cher, Charlie's Angels, Samantha, Wonder Woman... All smart, strong women, and yes, all on television. (Also the Judy Blume heroines.) At the time, I didn't realize that my paternal grandmother was someone to be admired for her strength and independence - having raised two boys and having maintained a household all by herself, after being widowed at a relatively young age. Then came Princess Diana (for her causes and her grace) and Patty Duke (for her struggle, triumph, and advocation.)Now, it would probably be women like Angelina Jolie, who is doing her part in trying to help people, and others who are trying to save our world - especially the ones saving endangered species, like Steve and Terri Irwin (RIP Steve) and Jack Hannah. My mom taught me about standing strong in faith and believing God's word, introduced me to Kenneth and Gloria Copeland (and I like a lot of what they have to say), showed me strength and dignity in the face of a supposedly terminal illness - and the 10+ years she was free of it, after God gave her the miracle of healing. But then she had to fight it again when the breast cancer mestatized and returned as liquid in her lungs, then spread. She went to work every day - even chemo days - when other (healthy) people in her office did not. And she didn't ever give up - for over seven more years, until she passed in 2003. She also taught me how to be married to someone for 41 years - as she and my dad were - which apparently is a rare thing these days.
