Martin Luther King Jr. - he was a true leader.
"Now, I say to you today my friends, even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream. I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: - 'We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal."
"Like an unchecked cancer, hate corrodes the personality and eats away its vital unity. Hate destroys a man's sense of values and his objectivity. It causes him to describe the beautiful as ugly and the ugly as beautiful, and to confuse the true with the false and the false with the true."
"Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter."
"We must learn to live together as brothers or perish together as fools."
"The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy."
"Everything that we see is a shadow cast by that which we do not see."
"The question is not whether we will be extremist but what kind of extremist will we be."
There has never been quite a leader, white or black, that has been able to compare to Martin Luther King, Jr. He was able to lead the whole country to a different way of thinking. Without his views, the United States would not be the place it is today.
If he was still alive today, I think the world would be more open minded and their wouldn't be as much hate towards one another.
