About Me

In Remembrance of our Bree Gutu

July 6, 1978 - April 4, 2007

Students Supporting Students [Scube] is a student-run program at City College of San Francisco. It started back in 2000, after it was fought for by students who were trying to develop the Student Union Building into a place where students like yourself could get support with academics, address retention rates of underrepresented students on campus, build community solidarity and organize around common struggles. Scube itself is a student initiated program established to provide peer mentoring, course retention, and community service for under-served communities at City College of San Francisco.
WE'RE LOCATED IN THE STUDENT UNION BUILDING (NEXT TO THE CAFE) IN ROOM 203!

My Interests

Our Mission is to increase the transfer rates of students to four-year universities and to empower marginalized students and communities on campus. IN OTHER WORDS, WE HELP PEOPLE GET OUT OF CITY, SO THEY CAN MOVE ON WITH THEIR LIVES!

I'd like to meet:

We're students at CCSF, just like yourself who work at Scube. But dont worry, we're skillfully trained to the best of our coordinator's ability to have the knowledge to help you! If we can't, we can always direct you to the right place. ok, so we've got JEANNE, our coordinator who is full of knowledge and great guidance, and is also the advisor for PEACE. BREE, a beautiful Samoan sister who's reppin' the Poly Club at CCSF as well. We've got a long-haired filipino brother, GENE who's also the treasurer for CCSF's Filipino Club [PEACE]. CLAUDIA, at her 2nd year at SCube, is of proud Chinese background, and is also an AS Senator.MARIANA, Miss Mexican, pursuing a journalism career, is now at SCube and reps La Raza Unida at CCSF. We have brother CORNELIUS, who makes everyone else's clothes look bad with his designer jeans, is a new rep and member of the BSU at CCSF. And yep, thats all of us at Scube. But if ya'll hung around, you can meet a lot of cool folks who stop by too. Also wanna shout out to SAMMIE ARDITO, who transfered to a college in Arizona, doing her thing - we miss you!
