You make everything glorious... and I am yours. What does that make me?

About Me

Lord make me an instrument of your peace; Where there is hatred, let me sow love; Where there is injury, pardon; Where there is doubt, faith; Where there is despair, light; And where there is sadness, joy. Grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive; It is in pardoning that we are pardoned, and it is in dying (to ourselves) that we are born to eternal life. My Interests

The wonderful world of advertising. Writing, film, theology, snowboarding, world travel, reckless adventure.

Music:

Check out "Good Monsters" by Jars of Clay. Great album. Always, always the Weepies.

Movies:

Favorites of the moment... The Namesake

Television:

Entourage for a little scene. The Office for aching ab laughs (unshunned). Grays Anatomy for my weekly smut fix. Ugly Betty for some Mark and Amanda love.

Books:

I've been reading five books for the past two months and have yet to finish one of them. This is a little unusual for me, but here goes the current list (aka, the albatross): Let Your Life Speak, Brand Hijack, Inspirability, The Culting of Brands, The Culturally Savvy Christian: A Manifesto on Deepening Faith and Enriching Pop-Culture. Favorites include: "Atlas Shrugged" (Ayn Rand), "Searching for God Knows What" (Donald Miller), "Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World" (Haruki Murakami), Freakanomics and Orbitting the Giant Hairball.

Heroes:

Dagny Taggart, Elizabeth Bennett, Joe March, Dwight Shroot, Carrie Bradshaw, Finnegan Bell (let's face it - fictional characters are just easier to admire), & anyone who loves their life.

My Blog

The thing about beauty.

One of the most beautifully written articles I've ever read. Not to mention a fascinating experiment and perhaps a scathing look at modern culture. But it raises some incredible questions...Do you hav...

wasted

It's amazing how God gently reminds me of the things I claim to understand, but refuse to believe. I waste so much time wondering what the people around me think. Do they like me? Do they love me? Do ...

Relevant - Adopting Adoption

From a great article in Relevant. And the question to follow is, "why do we (culturally) see adoption as a last result for the infertile?" Why instead don't we (as followers of Christ) feel more compe...
