It has been awhile since I have shared my music with everyone. Over the last few years I have experienced … life… becoming the strong young woman that I strive to be everyday. Music has always taken me to that next level, it is a powerful thing. Through music, I express my emotions that I often find difficult to express through words. Music has been my therapy since I can remember; singing in a tape recorder in my room, banging on the piano well my older brothers and sisters were trying to study and singing my sentences are a few examples of how passionate I was about music at an early age. As I have grown, I have experienced relationships that have blossomed and eventually fell apart and relationships that only continue to grow. I have experienced the reality of life, and still am. Those who know me know that my family means the world to me, their support and love allows me to continue to pursue my music well keeping a strong and leveled mind. Over this past year I have met and worked with people who are just as passionate about music as I am. A good friend of mine from home asked me to sing on a few of the tracks he has written for an upcoming project he is working on. The emotion I felt well in the studio was both exciting and liberating. Here in Charlotte, where I reside, I have been able to express my passion for music with close friends through open mic nights at Phil’s Tavern and recording music sessions.
