About Me

Lula de Luze was born on the cusp of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries in a small yak-trading tribe in Mongolia. She was adopted by a peripatetic American couple who eventually settled in Central Europe. She was a child patient of Dr Sigmund Freud and later apprenticed as one of the great man's child-labour helpers. In the mid-fifties she developed her own theory of human behaviour and initiated a break-through in the standard treatment of mental illness via her innovative, iconoclastic and ever controversial 'rock and roll therapy'. Never accepted by the psychiatric and medical mainstream, the therapy involves application of powerful auditory stimuli directly to the patient's frontal lobes, hypothalamus and amygdala (depending on the diagnosis). Lula's contentious and potentially dangerous techniques became increasingly popular with the boho and hipster crowd throughout Europe in the late twentieth century. However, as a result of the mounting concern and protests from the European Psychiatric Alliance and the Vatican, in 2002 Lula de Luze was banned for life from operating within the limits of the European Union. Lula retaliated by moving to non-member Norway and opening her new clinic in the red light district in the notorious inner-Oslo. Her 'Shake it till you brake it' method attracts throngs of willing candidates from all over the world, as her notoriety continues to grow unabated. The specific whereabouts of Lula de Luze are unknown. She is a well-known proponent and consumer of plastic surgery and there exists quite a lot of speculation over her current appearance. Her photos are a much sought after property amongst tabloid magazine editors around the world.
