Hi, my name is Davide. I'm a musician, a producer and a dj, I'm mainly interested in high quality music and in musical research.
As a producer, I'm trying to make a deep sound, made of old school techno, house and funk influences. As a dj, I go for powerful deep house/acid set, because music has to shake your body.
Love In Detroit is also a live project, I work with Ableton Live, a drum machine, a midi keyboard and sometimes a guitar (in memory of good old time...). A simple approach for my exibition: don't touch the mouse! (...at least I try)
My passion for music started when I was about twelve, playing guitar with a jazz/classical background. In the 90's I began to play in several local rock bands, and at the same time I bought a 4 tracks recorder and a drum machine, and I started to experiment with production tools, I felt guitar and rock music too much a restricted field.
From that moment onwords I gradually moved towards electronic music, and I built up a small project studio to produce my tracks. But I still listen to "rock" music and I've supported and recorded rock band such as September 10th, Le Corbusier, Oslo.
Borders between musical genres are slowly fading out. Music is music. Musical genres just depend on your racism.
