Jay Vega a real-life B-Boy from the Lower East of New York City (The L.E.S or the 6th Borough) His style and presence were built from the streets, for the streets.Back in the day, Jay started as a graffiti artist know as “Justâ€, and DJ’ed under the moniker “XS†The consummate artist started rhyming to make fun of local MC’s on his block, realizing his lyrics could be thought-proving as well as humorous, Jay began to focus on his delivery and style, both of which ever changing to mirror his moods.Jay describes his rhyme cadence as “venting, not rappingâ€. His style and performance changes gears from track-to-track with party jump offs like “Private Party†and “Hip-Hop†to the crowd favorite “Sometimesâ€. Storytelling comes easy to Jay in songs like “What’s it all Mean†and “I’m Lostâ€.
Jay has and always will be a crowd pleaser when it comes to performing. He has honed his craft to a sharp point all over New York and Texas. Jay is currently in the studio with Beatsmiths Production working on his upcoming release.
