Be the change you wish to see in the world.

About Me

I like to laugh, write, golf and I love life! I get to travel often, meet new people, and appreciate being present in every moment. The last few years have been quite a journey for me. I was challenged to slow down my lifestyle after some health issues arose. I have been working at shifting from what I thought I wanted to what truly makes me happy. It's been a process, but one worth doing. I now live in a great place with mountains, lakes and rivers. I love my friends and appreciate them in my life. I enjoy charity work, and I get to live in a peaceful environment that I haven't experienced for 15 years. Life is great!

My Interests

Golf, music, films, most sports, traveling

I'd like to meet:

Anyone... Through each encounter I gain lessons. Whether I want to see it or not, there's always a lesson.

Music:

I like pretty much everything. I play rhythm guitar and bass if need be. I've played in bands and just love music in general. It truly uplifts my spirit whenever I sing and strum the guitar. I love to just crank a good Dave Matthews song and sing along. It feels good when its over!

Movies:

I do like to laugh, so I like the modern day classics like Bruce Almighty, Old School, Wedding Crashers and pretty much anything that is in your face humor. I can't say that I dislike any type of movie. I like them all. Pulp Fiction, any Tarrantino movie for that matter, holiday movies (they remind me of home and I come from an enormous family), and amazing technological movies such as Lord of the Rings. I also like classics like It's a Wonderful Life and Casablanca. I like it all unless it is just a bad remake.

Television:

Entourage, Sopranos, Nick at Nite, Discovery HD, History, Grey's Anatomy, Boston Legal, South Park

Books:

I enjoy reading biographies, history or self empowerment: Power of Now, The 8th Habit, The Four Agreements, etc. Wayne Dyer is a great example of charity and peace.

Heroes:

Ghandi, Dr. Wayne Dyer, the 2004 Red Sox and everyone who puts good above selfishness!!!!

Nuclear Capabilities

The release of British soldiers marks, in my opinion, a monumental excercise in humanitarian moves over military action.  No matter if it is a calculated move to win the support of the Ameri...

3 Truths

There's so much going on in the world right now.  And I've got to be honest, I don't know who to believe anymore.  I know who I want to believe, but even that is difficult.  In my life...

72 Virgins!

I read an article by Ghazal Omid, an expert on Islam and practicing Muslim.  She spoke about the promise fulfilled when a Muslim dies.  The number varies between different people, but the be...

Pope vs. Islam

To begin, I'm not practicing any type of religion.  I am a spiritual person.  I don't need any type of church to tell me how I should live my life and treat others.  It is pretty self e...

Global Warming

I've read about both sides for years and in the end, I personally feel that the last 150 years has seen an incredible increase in human growth and the burning of fossil fuels.  I like to kee...

Judging the Past

When we begin judging people on their past we take away their future.  Everything that happened in the past is a nice footprint.  You can tell the size of the foot and what type of shoe it w...

A Tangent Rant

It is disappointing watching the blatant disregard for human beings from those that promote godliness and love.  The hypocrisy of war is endless. Unfortunately, some people just need an ass whupp...

Rain in Vegas

Do people think rain equals ice? The average speed for drivers drops 20 mph if there is just a hint of precipitation. Although the roads become slick, you don't have to crawl. And by the way, peopl...

Looking ahead

Isn't it amazing that as we go further into the future, all the bad things associated with episodes in our life begin to fade and only the good stand out? It relates to the saying...Later in life we ...

Johnny Carson

I remember waiting until everyone went to bed before I snuck out of my room and turned on the old black and white television to watch the comedic, conversational, genius and his whacky skits. Every n...
