Spring greeted me upon my arrival to New York after some time in LA. It was wonderful not being shocked back into reality by the frigid, snowy weather that sent me westward two weeks ago.
I enjoy walking down to Broome and Mott for Banh Mi at least once a week. I tend to find myself on streets below Houston quite often, mostly to appease my taste buds. I live on 11th Street and my roommate never travels south of Houston. He's a Union Square guy and a West Village one as well. He's also a subway guy and has a deep-seeded animosity towards me because I don't have a Metrocard.
I enjoyed my trip to LA but it reinforced my happiness at having moved here. I am finding New York to be infinitely more dynamic than LA. Los Angeles is a magical place, and I remembered that as soon as I got in my rental car and sped away from the airport, but the magic tends to wear off after a day or two. New York's magic is more subtle, but it lingers...
