Giovonni was born and raised in the ruff Bronx River New York city area. His love for Hip-Hop music grew when his step father introduced him to the Art of DJ-ing in the late 80's. Back then, a hobby, Giovonni decided to start M.C.-ing after watching a Queens Bridge Native known as Tragedy the Intelligent Hoodlum's "Grand Groove" video in the early 90's. Since then, Giovonni has taken his form of M.C.-ing very seriously.
The biggest test for Giovonni was the public approval of his music. To test the waters Giovonni and Friend Nicotine moved to Virginia and decided to drop a project called "Five Shots No chaser" back in 2003. The demo/mix tape featured songs of lyrical and club vibe content. This project fell short due to the lack of engineering and original production. To make matters worst Giovonni was enlisted in the military and was ordered to serve a year of his time In South Korea.
After his tour, Giovonni went back to the lab to record new songs. With a fresh start and new ideas, Giovonni recorded a club banger named "To the Top" this demo was presented to Facx Murda of Get Dough Records in the spring of 2005. Fax loved the song so much he decided to take Giovonni under his wing under the Get Dough umbrella.
Since then Giovonni has teamed up with Crew members, S.C., Casanova, Shelia, Q-Bert, and Hansel, also known as, "The Pentagon", and has recorded several projects that included , "Not playing", "Lyrical Bull shiting", "Fools Paradise", and "Bump your Gums" remix. His future projects include BackPacking, and A.I.D.S (A.LL I. D.O IS S.CARIFICED.)
Finally, Giovonni and his crew are confident they can maraud the ears of the youth through their lyrical and production content. This will be a big test and hopefully they will over come it.
