IM A BREATH OF FRESH AIR IN THIS HIP HOP SHIT

About Me

"I am one of the hardest, these garbage niggaz is fed up and me shuttin down the market is fuckin these niggaz head up. So if I ever depart, in heart youll know that Im better. The illest nigga alive till the day that they blow my head off" - AX (Last Dayz)
Home to the world famous New York Yankees. Where godfathers like DJ Kool Herc, Africa Bambatta and Grandmaster Flash first spun their turntables into history books and birthed the most influential music of the past 20 years. Its the borough that the legendary KRS-1 strapped on his back when he waged war against other boroughs claiming custody to this illustrious culture. Seven miles north from the house the Ruth built is where you'll find the future of hip-hop music.
His name is Axel. Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, Axel (aka AX) developed his craft in the hard streets of the South Bronx. The Shootings, stabbings, drug peddling and scuffles that came from the harsh environment of 163rd and Simpson served as the inspiration for AXs aggressive subject matter. Inspired by the confident swagger of Brooklyn's Shawn Carter, the unpredictable flow of Detroit's Marshall Mathers, the sharp wit of the late Big L and the vicious flow of the late Big Pun, AX embodies the complete street emcee. Avoiding to look, sound or resemble most of generic counterparts from his state, AX strives to establish himself from the rest of pack by going in different direction, but still staying true to his street roots. "New York rap is generic now", says the 22 year-old emcee; "No one does anything different. No one rhymes anymore, they just talk shit and put words together. Everyone is a killer."
From vivid story-telling to heartfelt songs of emotion to infectious singles able to ignite movements of the hip, Ax has cultivated himself in jack of all trades, while still keeping the street essence that helped him hone his craft. Rhyme-wise, its even worse. How many times can you rhyme gat to ya hat, gat, chrome to ya dome. Not here. Im not going spell it out for you. Youll be able to tell from what I spit and how I spit whether a niggaz really bout his business on both a rhyming level and street level. To some whove seen the reclusive emcee, AX is a merciless pit-bull with a penitent for embarrassing opponents on the other side of his verbal barrage. To others, hes the future of Hip Hop music; a reflection of what was once needed in order to obtain validity in this culture of credibility.
His penitent for pleasing crowds came from his tenure at New Yorks EOW (End of the Weak), where week after week AX would be put to the test by some of the underground finest. Having established himself in that circuit, AX soon took it the streets taking on whomever proposed a challenge. With a 7-0 battle record at Monday Night Fight Klub and a respected reputation through out the underground street scene, AX has garnered a reputable buzz as one of Hip Hop formidable contenders.
I'm 3 times the rapper, I am second to none..and ain't no question about it nigga, I'm number 1... This past August, AX released "100 to 1", a concept record that pushed the envelope of traditional street record. Produced by Ski (Reasonable Doubt), 100 to 1 is 4 minutes of lyrical firestorm. With no chorus in sight, AX showed listeners 100 reasons why he is hip-hops new king on the come up...
Next up: THE WORLD.
