Lynette

Vancouver native Lynette Chan started playing poker in her hometown four years ago - inspired, like so many others, by the excitement and drama of televised poker tournaments like World Poker Tour and the World Series of Poker. When she first went pro three years ago, she played at local Vancouver casinos, but her ambition and talent swiftly outgrew Canada's west coast, prompting her to travel the world looking for tougher competition and bigger games.
She is now a familiar face at the high-stakes tables at the Bellagio in Las Vegas and the Commerce Casino in Los Angeles. Her strongest game is No-Limit Hold 'em, but she also enjoys playing Omaha Hi/Lo and Pot-Limit Omaha.
Before entering the poker world, Lynette was a marketing executive for luxury automotive brands, including Ferrari and Mercedes. She believes this experience - and her ability to maintain her trademark sweet demeanor while going toe-to-toe with some of the game's most aggressive players - has helped her succeed as a woman in a male-dominated game.
Unlike many of today's up-and-comers, Lynette didn't start playing poker online. In fact, she only started playing online in the summer of 2006 during The World Series of Poker - on special invitation from Full Tilt Poker, who signed her to their pro roster and sponsored her at the WSOP Main Event. Nowadays, you can often find Lynette playing in one of Full Tilt Poker's daily Guarantee tournaments.
When not at the poker tables, Lynette works as an actress and occasional print model. She is represented by one of the most prestigious talent agencies in Los Angeles, and has been featured in several national editorial spreads and films.
