The Melodramatics are a group of talented musicians which formed in the year 2006. Coming from completely different lifestyles, jobs, careers, and schools, and ranging from ages 17 to 23, the group first thought it an unlikely match. But as soon as the amps switched on, the bows were rosined, and the strings were tuned, the musicians soon learned that their passion to play music was more than a common characteristic that each member possessed.
Their diversity not only in lifestyle but musical taste has made writing music a challenge. It has formulated music that is original, unique, and unclassifiable. A mixture of Joe's jazz, folk, and indie rock influenced guitar playing, Alex's classical style on the viola, Ranelle's expressive flow on the piano, Chad's diverse ability on drums, and Jake's pop style singing voice, makes the Melodramatics a powerful movement of emotional and colorful sound . Their music catches the attention and focus in ears of all ages and a diverse crowd of listeners.

The goal of the Melodramatics is to create music that is both creative and difficult, emotionally written and performed, and most of all... pure.
