Yes!!Yes!!!Yes…From a writer/editor’s point of view, writing about the next BIG thing is always a privilege, with that in mind I proudly present to you Outta town Entertainment’s one and only……Jayed-Out better known as Samuel Akpata. The multi-talented entertainer was born and bred in Nigeria before moving over to the United Kingdom were he has been able to groom his talent and to exploit a number of opportunities which has led him to where he is today. Before becoming one of the founders of Outta town Entertainment, Jayed-Out was always into anything & everything that had to do with entertainment. At a young age of 14, he found out he had a talent for writing lyrics after he was challenged to a battle by his friends in school. He went home, turned on his boom box, put on a song by Heavy-D on his tape player and started trying to write. After about 10 minutes he found he was able to block out the vocals of the song in his head and only hear the beat, he then started writing and (as they say) the rest is history. Fast-forward to 2003, while studying at university in the UK, Jayed-Out joined forces with another Nigerian born/British based artist Cloud 9 a.k.a “C9” putting together the rap duo called “D-U-I”. They released their first mix tape in 2004 called “Under The Influence” generating a well acclaimed buzz across the midlands in the UK, with tracks like “Wondering” & “Reminisce”. Unfortunately in 2005 after a couple of live performances D-U-I seized to exists due to creative differences. After moving to Birmingham for his post-graduate degree, Jayed-Out got to team up with friend and fellow artists/producer Femi“Nasty”Oyenuga putting together a second mix tape called “The Peer Pressure Mix tape”, which also generated more buzz with tracks like “It’s on” and “Hello remix” and a mini tour performing round universities across the UK. In late 2006 Jayed-Out decided to take on a more business approach to the entertainment industry. Teaming up once again with Nasty and long time friend/producer Osaze “Sazzy” Omonbude Outta town Entertainment was born.
