"Great" though, is a matter of opinion and it is the firm belief of Nicholas "Nick" Turner and Alexander "Ted" Matthews, the members of Twice Removed that their band belongs on such a list.Hailing from north-west Tasmania, an area with limited opportunity for such talented singer-songwriters, Twice Removed have forged an identity not only in their southern-most Australian state, but all over the world as a couple of friendly fun-loving guys who have the knack of writing a decent pop song. Rather than trying to be something original and unique in such an expansive music industry, they have combined all the best elements of the songs they love, presenting them in an enjoyable, catchy package, packed with heartfelt lyrics and sing-a-long choruses.Their songs are not quite pop, not quite rock and not quite punk, and yet these influences are clearly evident in every upbeat melody, every meaningful ballad and every summer anthem.
