About Me

MySpace Graphics MySpace Glitters MySpace Editor MySpace Comments Warning GeneratorI'm a pretty happy-go-lucky guy. My life has been full of opportunities and support, so it'd be hard not to be. Still, I'm trying not to take it for granted. I want to be a positive force in this world...though it's a lot easier to say it than do it. I'm working on trying to do it.I'm pretty open minded. I like to try new things. I want to see more and learn more, even if my memory may not remember it all.I'm hoping our country, and for that matter, the world, has reached a tipping point, and the environment takes priority over the economy, diplomacy becomes more important than bluster, and understanding replaces extremism. The opportunity is there, though it feels like time is running out. That's about it. Just a normal guy, if you ask me.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

I like meeting people. All sorts of people. If you have something to say, please, say it, and I'll be your friend. I'm easy like Sunday morning...but I still won't blindly add someone who doesn't, in the very least, send me a message. What kind of people do I want to meet? I'm pretty open about it (sometimes I try too hard to have too many friends), but it's nice when someone has something to say about the world, about life, about something beyond just which fashion accessory dog Paris is bringing around with her today. Or, if you're someone who makes fun of me, that's cool, too. Really...sarcasm and wit are wonderful things. You don't have to be chatty, but do have to deal with someone who is. If you haven't guessed by now, I'm more of an over-communicator than an under. Finally, if you play soccer, I organize a pick up soccer game every Saturday morning at 9:00 am in Sunnyvale. Send me a note and I'll add you to the Evite.

So, a few weeks ago (May 8th) I had knee surgery to fix the ACL tear that occurred in a soccer game last month (the subject of my last blog).  It went as expected.  Here's the "Surgical Repo...

goodbye soccer...

I've been playing soccer since I was a little kid, just five years old, so that's 25 years worth.  In the meantime, I've played some other sports -  basketball, tennis, baseball - but a...

a new personal best

Some brag about Feats of Strength, others share how well they sing, how much they know about art history, or even how big their ski boats are.  Well, I finally have some to brag about. ...

The reason for the season...

Christmas comes, Christmas goes, and, while there have been some good times (I fondly remember the Nintendo my grandparents bought for me) and some bad times (family woes), I'm going to have to say I'...
