Travel, reading, cooking, going to concerts, music. My best concert experiences have been at small venues, like the Fillmore and the Warfield. I will never forget seeing Audioslave at the Warfield the day war was declared on Iraq on 3/20/03. There were peace marches up Market Street. We got off BART at Powell Street and as we came up the escalator it was like walking into a movie set. There were crowds and police riot squads linked arm in arm, police on horseback and helicopters everywhere. We went to the Warfield and when Audioslave came on stage, Tom Morello said how he had marched with the crowds up Market. Amazing... Another great one was Porcupine Tree and Opeth on July 31, 2003 - Opeth opened for Porcupine Tree. It was an amazing concert - I went for Porcupine Tree, but was won over by Opeth. (Granted - this was the "Jekyll" Opeth - not the "Hyde"...) I think I saw on their website that that was one of their favourite shows as well. Just saw Ken Andrews (4/3/07)- what a nice guy... great concert - Failure, Year of the Rabbit, On, Ken Andrews
My favorite bands - I guess I'm a groupie at heart - Oh, and Eddie Izzard....
Jeff Buckley, Ryan Adams, Tom Petty (and the Heartbreakers), Queens of the Stoneage, Opeth, Porcupine Tree, Radiohead, Filter, Beck, Beastie Boys, The Smiths, Morrissey, Doves ...how the hell can you pick your favourite music?? I still listen to Hendrix, Zeppelin, Pink Floyd. I haven't even touched on the 90's (grunge if you will..) Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, of course Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilot, Temple of the Dog, which brings us to Screaming Trees...if I had my life to do over again - yes, it would be in the music biz...
Dramas - Shawshank Redemption (my all time favorite), The Pianist
Comedy - Withnail and I, Still Crazy, anything Wallace and Gromit, The 40 Year Old Virgin
Prison Break (Wentworth Miller - hello!), The Office, Gilmore Girls, Saturday Night Live (when I can stay up...), BBC America, The Food Network
Anything by Anne Rice, Neil Gaiman, Terry Pratchett, Diana Gabaldon, Jeffrey Deaver, Dan Brown
