Michiel Sad Eyed Lady

I am a bassplayer, guitarplayer, pianoplayer but songwriting is my favorite thing to do. In most times i learned myself how to play the instruments, yet i know my music theory. As a songwriter i am very inspired by spirits like Brian Wilson, Paul McCartney and Martin Gore. I started out in the bands Things To Come, Dazed and Freebase. These were alternative and punkbands in which i played bass and guitar. Later i played in the bands Ultrawave, A Day's Work, a balladeer and Ultrasonic. In the band A Day's Work i developed myself as a songwriter and a bassplayer. I study at the conservatory of Amsterdam, but i spend most of my time working with Keith Caputo. I play bass in Keith's band. I recorded a record with Keith called "Hearts Blood on your Dawn". Early 2007 we recorded a record in Hollywood,Los Angeles,CA. The record was produced by Martyn Lenoble who played bass in Jane's Addiction and Porno for Pyros.He is currently playing bass in Dave Gahan's band!! The record is called "A Fondness for Hometown Scars". Jochem van Rooijen plays drums, Marcel Singor plays guitar,and we have some guests like Gerry Leonard from David Bowie, Craig Ross from Lenny Kravitz, Zac Rae from Alanis Morissette and Flea from the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. The record will be released later this year. In september of 2007 i did a european tour with Keith, and we played in countries like Germany, Denmark, Norway, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, France, Belgium and Holland.
