BEN KOLARCIK has always had a knack for making a good impression. Being born into a large family, he learned at a young age how to articulate and be heard. As early as middle school, he began singing and playing guitar. Soon after graduating high school, Ben began pursuing his career as a solo artist, as much as his busy work schedule would allow; recording in the evenings and doing gigs on the weekends.His first independent album, self-titled "Ben Kolarcik" was released in 2001 drawing attention from industry executives for his progressive pop/rock style, and shortly after, was given the opportunity to perform both across the US and abroad. While in New Zealand, at the renowned Parachute Festival, Ben received a call from Word/Curb/Warner Bros. asking for a meeting. It was here that Ben was introduced to Justin Unger. The two artists collaborated, and in a matter of months, wrote and recorded "Across the Sky". In July of 2003, their eponymous debut album was released under Word/Curb/Warner Bros. records.This critically acclaimed duo performed all over the world, received a GMA nomination, and toured alongside acts like Mark Schultz, MercyMe, and Michael W. Smith.At the end of 2006 Ben decided it was the right time to dive back into his solo career as a singer/songwriter. He moved to Los Angeles, CA and is making an impact, continuing to write songs well beyond entertainment, to what many critics describe as "engaging and passionate".
