LYRIX Bio.Jaime Nungaray A.K.A. LYRIX was raised and born in Madera, California. When he
was eight days old his parents were involved in an automobile accident. His mother
was tragically killed by a drunk driver in that accident. His father survived the
accident but all though his father was blessed to be alive he could not take care of
an Jaime because he was an infant so he went to go live with his Aunt & Uncle. As
the years progressed Jaime got involved with gangs and drugs in his
neighborhood where he lived in. When he was twelve years old his cousin, who he
looked up to, got murdered at the age of fifteen by some gang members who were
looking for payback. Jaime, a.k.a. LYRIX, started to express himself through music
at the age of twelve. He wrote songs about his home town and "Represented for
the block." He made cassette tapes for his friends who in turn made copies for
their friends and so on and so forth. At the age of fourteen LYRIX was incarcerated
and was facing nine years in C.Y.A. That is when he decided to change his ways
and by the grace of God the judge he was sentenced to 6 months in juvenile hall.
The judge saw the potential in LYRIX and believed he was going to do something
with his life. LYRIX received the Lord in juvenile, but wanted to do it publicly. After
receiving Christ his father was murdered by his step son. LYRIX did not Question
God, however he expressed to God that he forgave the man who murdered his
father, and forgave those who caused him pain and those who tried to bring harm
upon his family. The Bible says If you want God to forgive you for your sins you got
to forgive the other brother for there sins (Matthew 6:12). This was his conviction.
He is now twenty three years of age and lives with his loving wife and two beautiful
boys. Lyrix was influenced by a few Bay Area artists like E-40, Celly Cel, Mac Dre,
Drew Down, Too Short and folks that were putting it down in the Central Valley.
According to Jaime "Rap music is one of the Devils tools to destroy the young mind
of a teenager, but who said we can’t do it for Jesus." When he was in the world a
seed was planted in his life by listening to a man name T-bone who was on a T.V
show called "THE CUTT" which hosted by Lisa Left Eye. "That dude was spitting
fire in English and Spanish" Jaime exclaimed! When he was sixteen LYRIX'S first
album was called True-Feelings and he recorded that album using other people's
instrumentals. LYRIX backslid for 5 years. In this period he produced his own
music and recorded a new album called Lyrical Indentation. God began to deal his
heart and felt that the Lord was telling him to stop what he was doing. He believed
that God had better plans for him. He reconciled his life back to God and began to
go back to church. After a while God told him it was time to write and record again.
That is when he produced and recorded "BLESS THA MIC." He is now signed with
"BATTLE SHIELD RECORDS."GAMES ELIJAH
