Moneyshot, summing up his style.
Over the last decade his killer blend of amped-up, crowd-rocking music
has involved flinging The Clash into Roni Size, Public Enemy into Bob
Marley and Bugz in the Attic into Nina Simone. "Basically anything
goes."
His award-winning mixes for Solid Steel, XFM and the BBC have become
legendary, and off the back Moneyshot has developed a strong following
all over Europe. In the flesh he mixes his eclectic tastes with the
skills he's learnt playing major festivals and supporting the likes of
Ozomatli, Public Enemy and DJ Yoda, adding plenty of scratches and
acapellas along the way.
He's as at home smashing huge parties for clients like Nokia, Adidas, T3 Magazine and G-Star Denim as he is in a sweaty club. Off the dance floor he's helmed an Xfm radio show and championed the best new and old indie, dance, rock, pop and beats until he's blue in
the face.
The Reach Around is his tenth mix CD and features some of his boldest
ideas, tightest mixes and most party-rocking selections. Over 60-odd
tracks he flips with ease through C&W, Hip-Hop, Beats, Pop, D&B and Funk
- occasionally at the same time.
