Clubbing. Music. Eating. Drinking. Sex.
I'd like to meet:
As many new people as possible. One of my favourite things and probably the reason I love clubbing and promoting club nights is meeting new people. I'd most like to meet anyone who could get me guest list every week for Dee Cee F'kin Ten! as it's the only club in Ibiza I really care about and it's the only one I can't get in free to.
Music:
I love music. Music has always been the most important thing in my life. From singing as a small boy in school plays and appearing in a local amateur production of 'Oliver' as the lead role right through to present day where I run a sound system company and promote my club night - 'Deuce'.My main musical love now is electronic dance music and has been since I first got into clubbing in 1994.My favourite musical styles right now are Dirty Tech House and Breaks. I'm also into what some people call 'Minimal Tech Funk'. Basically the kind of music that they play at my favourite club in the world - DC10 Ibiza.I also love Madonna and have been a huge fan since I was about 11. I did go off her music a bit during the whole 'Bedtime Stories' phase but she's definitely pulled it back around over recent years. Personal favourite tracks are 'Don't Tell Me' and 'Get Into The Groove' which was the first 7 inch single I ever bought.
Recent favourite bands/artists include The Streets, Goldfrapp, Mylo, Moloko (Roisin Murphy) and Goldie Lookin Chain. All of which I've seen live. I love Live music and have seen an incredible amount of amazing acts over the past 26 years of my life. Other people I'm into who I'm into at the moment but haven't yet seen live are Lily Allen, Trentmoller & The Plump DJs.My first ever concert was a Charity gig for Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy at Knebworth in 1990 with a crowd of 120 000 people. Tears For Fears opened the concert with 'Everybody Wants to Rule the World' this record always makes me buzzz when I hear it. At this event were the likes of Elton John, Dire Straits, Jimmy Page and Robert Plant, Status Quo, Paul Macartney and Pink Floyd!!!! Not a bad start to my Live music life...!I've also seen any big dance act you might care to mention incl; The Prodigy
Underworld
Chemical Brothers
Basement Jaxx
Massive Attack
Leftfield
Tricky
The Fugees
Arrested Development
Orbital+ many more
Movies:
Not a huge movie fan due to the fact if I'm still and quiet for any length of time my body automatically thinks I must have gone to bed and I fall asleep. You wouldn't believe the amount of good films I've slept through.I love the obvious ones like 'Shawshank Redemption' & 'Pulp Fiction' and the not so obvious like 'Withnail & I' & 'Planet Of The Apes' both the original and the Tim Burton remake.
Television:
The best UK TV show is without doubt 'Shameless'.
The best US TV show is without doubt 'Six Feet Under'.I'm also partial to a bit of Eastenders and I have to admit being a bit of a Big Brother addict having watched everyone (Except 2005) from the very beginning incl the Celebrity ones. I did not see a single episode of BB2005 due to spending the whole summer in Ibiza.
I used to quite like this too although now I'm a little concerned

Books:
I used to read stacks as a kid but I'm a bit crap now. The last 2 books I read were 'The Da Vinci Code' and 'Angels and Demons' by Dan Brown. My favourite book as a kid was 'Knights of the Cardboard Castle'. If you have kids search this book out. I read it over and over again.
Heroes:
The person who has probably had the most impact on my life purely for one sentence he said to me is my late Grandad (fathers father). He said to me not long before he passed away;"If you want something badly enough - Make it happen!"
