no matter what i come up against i know that there is nothing my God can't get me through. His love is greater than any love i've ever known from anyone else EVER!!! and i have some pretty stinkin awesome family and friends so that's BIG :-) So pretty much my story goes... I grew up in a christian home, gave my life to the lord as a little girl, i knew he loved me and somehow i just knew he was real so one day when i was 5 i had jusy lied down for my nap and by myself facing my wall i told God i wanted to live for him. growing up i did pretty good stickin to my morals and standing up for what i believed in. i was never perfect i was occasionally a bully but tried to love most people. JR high and high school is a big blur of crushes, dissapointmens, self hatred, confusion, boys, kisses, bulemia (eating disorders), sexual sin, lying to my parents, drugs, cussing at teachers and giving them the finger to thier face in the middle of class, to athority i was never a nice person to be around, but at the same time i never completely let go of love. i had plenty of friends and i still knew the difference between right and wrong i just made a habbit of ignoring it. but deep down i knew that God still loved me and as much as my actions would speak against him, in my heart i always knew he was there. one day in the beginning or middle of my senior year of high school (2004) after smoking some bowls (pot) at a friends house before school i got in my car to drive to school and i swear God was sitting shotgun. i just started to weep and break down. i was crying and crying and i told God "i can't do this anymore, i don't want to live like this. i give you my life, i want to live for you. help me jesus. i need you" my tears of sorrow turn to even more tears of joy as i felt him moving in my heart, making me feel light as air. as i smiled and cried trying to watch where i'm driving but not wanting to leave the moment i thanked God for the changes i knew were just down the road. i knew that my life would never be the same. and it hasn't been. slowly but surely praying and asking for strength he helped me say no to drugs, say no to my own fleshy desired that were poisoning my heart, and soo many things. my life has in no way become "perfect" or "sinless" or "struggle free" but what i do know is "for God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have Eternal Life. -john 3:16" though some seasons seem like more of a cake walk some times i'm so tempted by different things i just want to scream (and sometimes i do when no-one's around) there has been times of refreshing and times of refining. and just when i've about given up on myself he's so faithful to speak to me in that sweet voice "i'm not finished with you, i'm not giving up on you, i have so many plans for you, just keep pressing on, i'll always be with you, i love you." I KNOW that God has a destiny for you. and i dare to say you were not created to live without him. as long as we deny the one who created us there will always be that God shaped hole in our heart. we are born with a desire to be loved in a way that only he is capable of loving...unconditionally. He'll always be knocking at the door of your heart, but it's your choice to let him in. Living for him is in no way the easy route. i warn you it will he hard. but he will NEVER leave you Or Forsake you. and in our weakness He is Strong.one of my favorite songs and videos......(just watch the WHOLE thing)
