I heard this story about these Christians at Reed College in Oregon who set up a confession booth on campus. Except it wasn’t for the students. It was for the Christians. I found it very compelling that they did this and I admit that I too owe people an apology. I know most people who look at my myspace may not read this but here goes: I’m sorry. I’m sorry for every terrible thing that happened over the last 2000 years in the name of Christ. For the crusades, for slavery, for the slaughtering and abuse of all the natives “missionaries†came to help. I’m sorry if people who called themselves “Christians†treated you terribly and judged you and gave you no example of what God truly is like. For everything. But I wasn’t there for those things. In my own life, in the present, I failed to live the life Jesus called me to. I’m sorry because I don’t take care of the poor and the sick, if anything I turn my back on them. I don’t give money to organizations that help widows and orphans the way Jesus taught too. I’m sorry if when we met or when were friends if I didn’t do my best to love you for just being you. I’m sorry if I came off as having some sort of motive or was trying to sell the gospel to you. I sorry if there was a time you were hurting inside and I wasn’t there for you and I’m sorry for anytime I may have been the reason you were hurting. I’m sorry for anytime I swore or was inconsiderate or objectafied women or stopped treating anyone as God’s creation whom He loves and has called me to love too. I’m sorry because I should have done this and I want to love people, I want to help the sick and poor, I want to help to help the hurting, and most of all advance God’s kingdom. I want to do this because I believe that the world is broken that we are far from where we are supposed to be. Where we are is far from God, the God that created us and loves us even though for generations we have served ourselves instead of Him. I believe that even though we turn our backs on Him constantly He wants to draw us close to Him and wants us to live forever with Him in his kingdom. That is why He sent Jesus Christ to die for each and every one of us to save us from the death we deserve and to raise us up into the people God calls us to be so we can spend eternity with Him in Heaven. This might sound cheesy to some of you but I believe in God and I believe Jesus was the Son of God and that He died for our sins and I want everyone to know that there is a God out there who loves them. But most of all I believe that everyone deserves to have this made known to them and I’m sorry for not saying it sooner.Get MySpace Layouts from nUCLEArcENTURy .COM OR create your own using MySpace profile editor !!!
