I am here for Friends

About Me

I'm still trying to figure that one out. I believe in my family and friends but find it difficult to believe in myself. I appreciate and honor peace as the hardest thing to obtain and an absolute must in our quest for morality and justice. I can eat Chinese and Mexican food every day. I spend a lot of time reading about foreign places but haven't been outside the United States. I am a liberal Democrat but it's getting harder to be politically minded when the system fails every single day. Religion interest me a great deal, especially the motivation for people to use it as a weapon or a tool to discriminate against race, sexual orientation, and other viewpoints. I'm on a quest to find true religion in my life. My friends are my family and my family are my friends, though I haven't always shown. I'm addicted to Internet blogs and other sites. I want to earn a college degree and succeed in life. I want to give my wife everything. My dogs are my children. I wish I didn't drive so much, I wish I didn't drive it all so I could tell Big Oil to kiss my gas. I'm trying to be eco-friendly but it's like having a religion....everyone is waiting for you to mess up. I'm proud to be a Missourian and proud to be born in Arkansas, home of President Clinton who I can't stand after what he and his wife continue to do and say during the Democratic Primary. I'm sarcastic and sarcasm is my favorite type of comedy next to puns. You cannot have dinner without lively conversation. I worry A LOT but I still live and appreciate the splendors of life. Communication is the key to every relationship but a relationships have many doors. I've been a vegetarian for one month and two weeks. I don't have a problem with authority but I have a problem with authoritarian jerks. Sometimes I'll tell someone about a joke I "heard" instead of really saying that it was mine. "Their Jokes" always get more laughs than "mine" which means delivery goes a long way. People without e-mail should get in their Model T and take a trip to 2007. I'm patriotic enough to know that I live in the greatest country on the planet but I believe it can always do better than now. War is the answer only when people cannot hear the whisper of peace. I try to be cultured and intelligent but I'm still a Hulkamaniac and a fan of Superman. Sometimes, I wish the ancient Greek Gods would make a "comeback" in modern thinking. I'm easily distracted by thinking ahead.....way into the future and end up doing nothing. I never thought I would log into Myspace than once a week/month/never. Facebook really, really sucks. I enjoy receiving a personal message via E-mail. I believe in "power to the people" but find people in numbers to be a threat to true liberty like minorities. I'm a white male who believes in Affirmative action because of what other white males often say behind the backs of women and minorities. I appreciate all types of music but Rock is my favorite. I don't mind telemarketers and survey groups as long as they answer a few of my questions like "where are you calling from, what's the weather like there, and what's your real name....Mike White from Beijing? I often find myself in the minority in every discussion. I know how to listen but I talk WAY too much.My Space or Yours? and I are proud supporters of Earth Day. Do your part.
