we're going to disney world. then we will mix, and then you will hear it. be excited. we're excited for you to hear it.still no word yet on the EP release show... as the cd gets closer to being done, we'll let you know when and where it's going to happen. it's gonna be good, though... so you better be there. if not, you're a shape that is not circle. it's also not rectangle. do you know what shape you'd be?hope all is well. stay warm - because if you're anywhere in illinois, you're probably either wet or cold. this state is good at doing things like that to people. winter is an odd time, folks... an odd time. don't drink and drive. we love you all. come to shows when we play them.the answer to the shape riddle was square, by the way. square. oooooh yes. you'd be a square.see you soon. scotWednesday, February 13, 2008hello friends.today we write to inform you all of a new project we've been working on. over the last couple of weeks, we've been recording our next EP. it's going to have five songs on it and they're all acoustic. three of the songs are acoustic versions of songs from our last six song EP. the other two are acoustic versions of some new songs that we've been playing at shows over the last couple of months.we've been doing the majority of the recording at a place called "Pragma Studios" in Chicago, but a little bit of it has been done at home, too. the music for the EP is basically all recorded except for a couple minor things that will be done in the next few days. we'll be doing vocals over the next couple of weeks as well as getting everything ready for the release of the cd, which we will try to make as soon as possible.we're extremely excited to release something new for you all to listen to. as soon as we have everything done and ready, we'll be posting one or two songs here on our myspace and on our purevolume so you can hear them.there will be a cd release show for the release of our acoustic EP. we'll post more about the show once the recording is closer to being finished. keep checking back as we'll be posting updates on the recording process as well as the release.we can't wait to see you all again and we can't wait for your to hear our new music! see you at the shows!scotTuesday, January 1, 2007hey friends,new blog is up. we had a battle this new years. it was us vs. the balloons. wanna know what happened? We really appreciate that everyone voted their asses off and got us to first place!Unfortunately, even though we got the most votes, they did NOT pick us as the grand prize winner! We released our 6 song EP recorded at Exit Studios (Chicago, IL) and mixed at Gravity Studios (Chicago, IL) in June 2006. We were fortunate enough to work with Engineer Mike Hari and I can say that even now almost a year later we are not disappointed with our decision. However, this year is already booming through and I made a list of things we have accomplished and also some stuff you we can look forward to seeing in the near future:1. Yesterday we finally purchased a Tour Van. We should have our trailer within a month or so.2. Pursuant to the purchase of our Van we are currently booking a one week tour in late July between the 21st and 28th.3. Scot (guitarist/vocals) recently purchased a wonderful Pro Tools set up in which we are utilizing to record all of our new material that we have written since the EP release last year. We will not be releasing these songs; however, we will be using these as pre-production in preperation for when we do decide to record some new material again.4. June 23, 2007 we are playing Mobfest at Elbow Room in Chicago. The show will be huge and most likely sold out so if you are 21 or over and you want tickets let us know!5. We remain on www.thedailychorus.com top 30 unsigned bands list. This is a great website for bands and for fans who want to check out some great unsigned talent world-wide.6. We have acquired a dedicated and strong street team who are all of our amazing fans who help us out more than they can even imagine. (If you are interested in joining our street team just add the street team myspace in our top friends and we will send you a message with all the details)7. Since the release of our EP we have had the opportunity to share the stage with signed acts such as: A Static Lullaby, This Providence, Park, The Pink Spiders, Tokyo Rose, So They Say, I Am Ghost, A Classic Crime and Asteria.8. We were featured on Q101 Street Fight last month.9.
