The Bradburys

Authentic American Power Pop

About Me

The Bradburys emerged from the wreckage of two great Chicago bands; The Steppingstones and The Good. Bent on carrying the power pop torch set alight by bands like Material Issue, Shoes, Off Broadway & Cheap Trick, The Bradburys released their debut album "Introducing The Bradburys' (1999) to rave reviews. Their song "Hello Hello" was chosen by Sweden's Yesterday Girl Records as the lead-off track on the "Pop Under The Surface, Volume 3" compilation that same year.In early 2001, founding members John Goodman (drums) and Dan Pavelich (vocals, rhythm guitar) were joined by John Scholvin (lead guitar). In 2002, the trio recorded "I Love It When It Snows", which appeared on the "Hi-Fi Christmas Party" compilation released by Vandalay Records. In 2006, Mike Przygoda joined, filling the long-vacant bass guitarist position. The Bradburys can currently be found playing live around Chicago, the world capital of Power Pop, opening for great bands like Off Broadway, Enuff Z'Nuff and Ted Ansani at such places as Beat Kitchen, Abbey Pub, Wise Fool's Pub, Goose Island Brewery, and Lion's Den.
