~When you're looking at me – you’re looking at Country...~
Well - I'm a Country Girl by heart. I grew up listening to the good old country music by Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, Kitty Wells, Dolly Parton and many more. They have had a great influence on me and they still continue to inspire me.
~The honky tonk girl~
I am country/gospel singer and I love singing. My father told me that before I could walk and talk I was singing along when I heard the hits on the radio... I continually educate to achieve becoming a better singer. I am very much inspired by the great voices and styles of kd lang and Wynonna Judd. And other great singers I hear – Roy Orbison, Randy Travis, Billie Jo Spears, just to mention a few. Through inspiration and listening to my inner voice I have found my own style.
~Believe it, conceive it AND achieve it!~
I believe there's a reason for everything. I believe in treating the people around you the way you would like to be treated. I try to stay positive and constructive in my attitude. I believe life is not about what happens to me but how I react to things. I choose my attitude. And I try to keep in mind that "If you can conceive it and believe it, you can achieve it!" Quote Wynonna Judd!
~Wynonna’s influence~
In the mid eighties I listened to The Judds for the first time and I was sold. I loved them right there and then. When Wynonna later went solo, I followed her career and still do. She's a great inspiration to me - her song, her attitude and her spirit.
~Nashville~
I went to The Grand Ole Opry House, Nashville in February 2005 for Wynonna’s 20.th. Anniversary DVD taping and fate would have it that I got to meet her after the show. Our meeting was taped for the DVD - need I say this was one of my top moments?
~I’ll be back...~
My plan is to go back to Nashville. I don’t know when but I know I will. I have unfinished business there...
