Josh Somers is one of the fastest up and coming Bassline DJ's on the Scene he has been on the circuit for a few years now and played at the biggest bassline nights around along side all the top DJ's and P.A's
It all started for Josh back in 1998 when he was introduced to the rave scene by his Dad who used to be a Night Club Promoter and used to Put on big illegal Warehouse partys and outdoor Raves at this time Josh fell in love with the whole idea of becoming a working DJ so he bought some cheap decks and started his record collection from buying Techno, Speed Garage, Drum n Bass and Hard House because thats the music he new from going to these Raves and he was buying legendary records like DJ Dan - Needle Damage, Energy 52 - Cafe Del Mar, Human Resource - Dominator, Camisra Vs Tall Paul - Let Me Show You, Lisa Lashes - Unbeliavable, Brain Bashers - Take Me Away, CRW - I Feel Love etc etc....
After about a year of being taught by his Dads DJ's he then started to travel around England playing nearly every weekend at random secret Raves and Warehouse partys in the middle of no where, he played for Events such as Smoke Screen, Ruckuss Sound System, Cabbage @ West indian Centre, Global Gathering, Glastonbury Festival, Warehouse party in Ireland, The Eclipse Festival in Cornwall, Ls8 Soundsystem, also not for forgetting the Warehouse Partys in the old Factorys on Meanwood Road(Leeds)(Now Burnt down and turned into student flats).
This Went on until the year 2000 when the Criminal Justice Act came in order and the Police started to get realy strict on puting on these Events and most of the promoters and Sound Systems went to Goa in India and Josh stoped DJing and got on with other things until around 2004 when he got back into it again where he started buying Bassline and decided to give it another go, Josh has Also completed a one year full time course at the Leeds Collage Of Music Studying Music Technology Where he learnt how to Produce using Cubase, Acid & Reason,He now Works for a night club Promotions Company along side Simmo & Danny Bond through the week were they hold weekly nights at Atrium(Saturdays), Puro(Precious), Rehab (BPM) etc And he DJ's Every Weekend at there own events and various guest gigs,
