My kids are 11 years apart(21 and 10) and for some reason they are named after Rock Stars: Stevie Nicks and John Lennon. Well, Lennon is my son's middle name and my daughter Stephanie was intended to be called Stevie but it never worked out that way. This is weird because my favorite musicians back then were Van Morrison and Melanie. O.K. I guess The Beatles and Stevie/FleetwoodMac also.That don't matter now anyway, I don't even listen to "Secular" music ( on purpose) anymore. I am not saying that it is bad, it's just for my own life, growing up in a time when music was filled with the occult or New Age, and that mostly being the music I practicality worshiped- after rededicating my life to Jesus I find I don't need it anymore. But, I still Love and pray for all those artisit. Whether they like it or not :)After 2 Cancer scares,3 different surgeries in an 18 month period(all equally 9 months apart-before,after and during my discovery of KLOVE) and many years of God pulling at my heart strings I decided one day to change the radio station and I found KLOVE. One of the first songs I heard and caught my attention was STILL HERE WAITING from Todd Agnew. When you have been away from the Lord for as long as I have, about 18 years by that point, that song just kind'a Slaps you awake! Just to know that our God lovingly waits for us to get the stupids out of our system and turn back to him! No Matter what we have done, He just wants us to come back to him so he can care for us and show us, he has loved us all along! He did not turn his back on us! He did not leave us, We left him and he is still there waiting! So, I thank Todd for that song and all the other eye opening songs he sings! Mostly I THANK GOD FOR HIS FORGIVING GRACE AND ALL HE DOES FOR US!
I spent a good many years of my life with the obsessive hobby of Genealogy. After about 20 years of doing this to the point of where I could no longer find information without travaling all over the country, I decided to give it a rest. The great great grandparents from Ireland on my father's side and the Indian great great grandmother on my mom's side, whom we have pictures of but cant find birth information, have all driven me insane from beyond the grave. It was a 9th grade history project gone a wry!I have always loved music, I like to write poetry and short stories. I like to cook but hate the clean up! People say I am a good cook, but is that a gift? If not then I got Nothin' over here! :(I am mostly a homebody but enjoy my trips home to Pueblo, Co. to see my family. Since moving 250 miles away from my people I appreciate them more and miss them dearly!
