Inside the Far's Music Video "Anomalia"!
Below are lyrics from our
2006 release:
Spin
Anger Spins the Empire
so we've made it this far
as enigmas with visions far
beyond the stars
despite people who are
antagonistic signs
with haunting world hues
these people who
have come here to opine
distort people who
I dream of breathing in
to exhale an empire
again and again
again to seize the sky
to dream
to be free from the spin
to seize the sky
The anger spins the empire
as I feel the fire
from these people who
deep inside
still feel their lost empires
giving way to who?
Past empirical eyes
suppressing the new
dreams made
by the future stargazer eyes
dreaming something new
as we set out to be free
oh I
I need my freedom from this
sole enslavement of my soul
as do you
Anomalia
you the imperfect
classical song
a perfect piece of art
for history
in the way you fake you
because you hate you
you fenomeno da baraccone
per lei devo ringraziare dio
anomalia
I believe we are all freaks
free to fight away the pain
from the ways we misperceive
so for you
when you run from you
and the way you fake you
because you hate
per lei devo ringraziare dio
Transparent Planet
thank God
this spin vision blur
thank God
it can be reversed
cut away your darkness
let the lucent light shine in
let your vision be blessed
rid yourself of ghostly burdens
choose worldwide transparency
and breath your empire
let the sounds of your ghosts
be cast out
of your mind's choir
cast out what is haunting you
remember this is a war
a war for all our lives
there will be battles
with hordes
and ghostly sights
blurring life
oh please save me
oh Lord my serenity
give me clarity
grant clemency
Something Solar
this war for my life
that leaves me late at night
wanting inner peace
this war shadows gravity
so I pray that if I die
I will have lived
in my life
may the way I live be great
when I die
may they say I lived my dreams
I can see my life being solar
I can feel it becoming something
in my mind
I feel it spinning through me
a sense of deep confusion
a true and strong fight
The Future
everyone is selling
the next big thing
everyone seems to be
buying everything
don't you ever wonder why?
or question what's a lie?
do you see
what you need to believe?
my brothers and sisters
arise and show the world
ahabah
yeah show the world rakhma
so if you're gonna spin
baby spin for the future
now's the time to recognize
that you have a say
in the way you live your life
choose the right way
and you'll see
that you can fly
my brothers and sisters
arise
when the armies
of peace arrive
choose to live or lie
have the courage to live life
and you will seize the sky

A Couple Reviews:
"Spin" EP,
by Inside The Far.
Variations of the term “spin†appear in four of the five tracks with lyrics. ...listeners will find the music of Spin in a constant degree of fluctuation between order and turmoil. ...whatever you want to believe is spinning winds its way into the drummy (tribal, or otherwise very old and warlike) intro to the first track with vocals, “Anger Spins the Empire.†It’s not long before listeners will hear contrast as that intro rhythm is slapped around by what listeners may call industrial rock riffs. That intro rhythm never completely disappears, resurfacing fully at the end with a glitchy CD-player effect, completing the whole past/future contrast.
What is particularly compelling about Spin is that the glitch effect itself leads into “Anomalia†not to disappear, and not to be annoyingly present throughout the whole song, but to manipulate its way into the frenetic rhythm and melody of the song.
Spin goes so far as to use negative space before the final two tracks as introduction pieces to the songs.
“The Future†wraps it up as probably the most casual-listener-friendly track.

“Something Solarâ€,
by Inside The Far.
I thought immediately of Native American chants. Your beautiful voice, collaborating with the instrumentals revealed such a moving ballad. It feels like you’re singing mythology. The fierce intentionality expressed through this (lyrically), gives it a sense of honor, of respect to the spirits that be. I love the energy of becoming something solar…of the light, of the fire, galactic…
