Simply Jim!

Why don't people think beyond the thin surface of issues? Are they that dumb?

About Me

I'm a happy, laid-back gentleman with a positive attitude about life and living it in everything I do. I am a well educated professional who has been around for a while so I know when it's time for work and when it's time for play - now it's time to play! I'm a really good friend, someone who you can rely upon - even if I've just met you. I'm a giver not a taker, so if we get together enjoy it! I'm also very passionate about everything that I do so when we meet, plan to spend some quality time together.

I am into dancing, hiking, walks at night, geocaching (ask me), woodworking, people-watching and training in the martial arts. I stay active and don't like to stay at home all day (unless it is with someone special). Then, curling up in front of the TV and watching a good movie is absolutely awesome!

My Interests

I'm into country-western dancing (but I do dance other styles), Okinawan GoJu Ryu karate and Kodokan, geocaching, hiking, woodworking, exploring other cultures, and basically enjoying life. I'll try anything once, maybe twice, and if I like it, hold on to your hats!

I'd like to meet:

I'm looking for a happy, positive, laid-back, physically fit, giving, independent woman who knows who she is and what she wants in life and in a man. She must be interesting, intelligent, and self-sufficient - someone who wants a man but doesn't need a man. I'm looking for someone who is physically fit so we can go skiing, snorkeling or scuba diving, hiking in the woods, or dancing all night long. I would love to find another martial artist to share my passion for that lifestyle.

Other than women, I'm also just looking for honest, secure, happy friends. If you like playing games with others, GO AWAY! If you like to hang out and can be a friend, then COME ON! If you want someone to talk with, someone to just listen, a confidante and a good friend, or to just to enjoy good company, conversation, and coffee or tea - just drop me an e-mail!

Music:

I listen to country music and like most artists. I'm also into 70's & 80's rock and music where I can understand what is being said. Lately, I've been listening to Meatloaf and the Charlie's Angel's soundtrack. Last Christmas I found the Trans-Siberian Orchestra who have a unique style of Christmas songs. One of my favorite singers is Alison Krauss - she has such a great voice and her music is so meaningful!

Movies:

All kinds - mostly classics (but not necessarily the classics)! Like the Star Wars series, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, the Abyss, Animal House, Blazing Saddles, the Exorcist 1-3, Lethal Weapon series, James Bond movies (especially with Sean Connery) and most action/adventure movies. I also like movies like "The Big Chill" where there's no plot - just a character study, and I do like some avant-garde movies but at times I find them hard to understand (who doesn't).Favorite movie: Rising Sun

Television:

I don't watch much TV, but I do like Deal or No Deal, Survivor and the Amazing Race. I recently found Kitchen Nightmares and Hells Kitchen and think they are really interesting!

Books:

Anything by Michael Crichton and Dan Brown (have exhausted most of their books). Really liked "Angels & Demons"! Also, I like James Patterson but his books are hit and miss - "Kiss the Girls" was really good, "1st to Die" drove me crazy, and "Season of the Machete" was a piece of crap! By the way, if you are into the abortion debate, I highly recommend Michael Crichton's book "A Case of Need". It's old but it lays out the issues very clearly and I believe like the book (it's a woman's choice, up to a certain time).

Heroes:

My father! He's a great man!

You prefer Passionate sex!

You enjoy passionate sex. You're the kind of person that has tons of fun in the sack, and you can really get into it. Not necessarily rough and lusty, passionate sex is the kind that satisfies both your lovin' and horny needs.
