THE WHITE LIARS by Peter Shaffer at the Complex Theater 6476 santa monica blvd 8 PM march (11 12) 16 17 18 19 23 24 25 26
MICHAEL J: Michael J doesn't really remember how he got here. The last thing he remembers is waiting for the valet, talking to some couple from Denver or Wyoming or something. After that, it's pretty much blank. He woke up in the alley behind the theatre, and thought it'd be a good idea to co-found Playhouse Worst. If all goes well, The White Liars will inaugurate a return to the time when theatre actors were merely foolhardy misfits with a little time on their hands. And Playhouse Worst will be their Peach Pit. He wishes to thank Tom Wilkinson, Hefferweissen mit citroene, and Adam Ivy. Showtime!
MELISSA PAULL: After Melissa restored the 19th century farmhouse she bought, Melissa decided to focus her energy on gourmet cooking, having trained herself from Julia Child’s Mastering the Art of French Cooking. She started a catering business in the late 1970s, and soon became known for her gourmet menus and unique, creative presentation.
ALEXANDER BARAD: Alexander Barad has been acting, singing, dancing, and puppetrying since he was 3 years old. Alex has studied theatre all over the world including the American Shakespearean Repertory Theatre Company School with the late great Sir Peter Haversham (So excellent a king! you shall be missed). Credits include Killing Thyme, What's Up with That?, The White Huxtables, and 3 Law and Orders. AMA THEATRUM MUNDI! It is fitting that Alex is in this production because he is a huge liar.
