think of the person / you like the least / that is how much / you love God

About Me

I'm a follower of the God who is Love. I'm quite the political junkie and love pondering the mysteries of life and thus have chosen to major in political science and philosophy/theology with hopes of becoming...a marriage and family therapist? I find myself in Switzerland this semester but I’ll be back in San Diego next fall for the last year of my undergraduate studies. After that--who knows...grad school or mission work, maybe (or saving up for either!)

My Interests

My Faith, my studies, Christian theology, pro-life causes, sharing Christ, personal study, current events, television, politics, television.

I'd like to meet:

A mentor! Also, my heroes: First and foremost, Christ. Also, Joyce Meyer, Alanis Morissette, Debbie Ford, Mark Steyn, Margaret Thatcher. Others who teach me, challenge me, and, most of all, hold me accountable. I am grateful for all of my insightful friends. I especially enjoy conversations that dwell on faith, politics, and/or psychology because I'm trying to figure out life.

Music:

My favorites (in order, roughly): Alanis, Johnny Cash, Regina Spektor, Fiona Apple, Muse, Blue October, Feist, Shakira, Fergie, The Killers, Enya, Tegan and Sarah, and Weezer

Movies:

Requiem for a Dream, Kill Bill Vol. 1 and 2, X-Men and Matrix Franchises, Monster, Murder by Numbers, Heartbreakers, Anchorman, and The Passion.

Television:

Cable favorites: Stargate Sg1, Stargate Atlantis, BATTLESTAR GALACTICA, Sopranos
Network Television: CSI, Desperate Housewives, The OC, ER, Law and Order: SVU, and SNL. The View, The Graham Norton Show
DVD sets purchased but not yet watched: Buffy the Vampire Slayer--ahh, such fond memories of adolescence--and Arrested Development
Honorable Mention: FOX News--just Brit Hume these days, Food Network--mainly for Paula Deen (I'm in love)

Books:

I've got a bookcase full of self-help and Christian-living books as well as lots of miscellaneous theological and political books.
Joyce Meyer is my adoptive mother

Heroes:

Thatcher, Mark Steyn, Joyce Meyer, C.S. Lewis, Debbie Ford, and oh yeah, Christ. Faith-full, obedient, inquisitive Christians at my school
