Oh dear, there are just so many...the Circus of Horrors, just because it rocks so much(and incidently is who I'm planning to run off with...ah,we can all dream..) I'm also an avid fan of the Rocky Horror Show. I love the film, and am making it my life's quest to see the stage version.... oh Magenta ..oh Riff Raff...can you feel the love?! What else, ah yes, I adore Tim Burton's work, especially "Beatlejuice" and it would be a dream come true if I could starre in one of his films. A small embarassing fact...I got really excited when they played the Danny Elfman score to "Beatlejuice" on University Challenge....as my friends will tell you, I'm 'special'. Keeping on with the Tim Burton theme, I also like his "'The melancholi death of oyster boy' and other stories", even if it is a bit dark and sinister in places. I also have a weakness for pretty much anything burlesque, as well as tortured souls such as the Phantom of the Opera(Gerard Butler) or Dracula played by Gary Oldman. Another cool thing are Vampires..the ones in films, not real-life people thinking they are vampires(granted, such individuals are interresting, but not really cool in my opinion). This brings my nicely onto my interest in the Criminally Insane. I'm quite fascinated by such people and obviously, the ideal insane person to meet..(if he were real)..would be Hannibal Lecter..what a Legend. What I think I find most fascinating about these people is the way they think..it's scary yet intriguing at the same time..
You scored as Hannibal Lecter. You are Hannibal Lecter. You dont need to eat human flesh to live, but do so because it just taste good. You are very intelligent, and enjoy using it to your advantage to keep people guessing. You arent a killing machine, but when you do decide to let loose, watch out! Dinner is served, with some fava beans, and a nice chianti!
Pinhead
Hannibal Lecter
Freddy Krueger
Jigsaw
Michael Myers
Leatherface
Captain Spaulding
Candyman
Buffalo Bill
Jason Voorhees
Quirky people with random interests! I tend to be the kind of person who's happy to talk to anyone :)
If we're talking famous people though, I would love to meet Ross Noble, Alice Cooper, Richard O'Brien, Eric Mabius, David Tennant, all of Motley Crue, Bowling for Soup, Marilyn Manson, the Circus of Horrors(again), Paul McKenna(so he can privately hypnotise me and I can actually find out if it works)and the god that is Tim Burton. Famous dead people would include Mark Bolan(thanks to a friend introducing me to "Born to Boogie"), and if we're looking at fiction(if it were possible to meet fictitious characters), Dracula, Van Helsing, Riff Raff, Spike and Drucilla from "Buffy", Hannibal Lecter, Mephastophilis and potentially Lucifer, as that might be quite exciting. That's all I think of for now...
I like anything really, from rock to classical and motown to emo. Ecclectic is probably the best way to describe my music collection( my Phantom of the Opera Soundtrack feels very at home in-between Dr Hook and The Killers). If I had to pick a favourite song, it would probably have to be "Music of the Night" from the Phantom of the Opera.
In a top five(at the moment), this would probably be closely followed by the Killers' "Mr Brightside" along with Marilyn Manson's version of "This is Halloween", Aerosmith's "Crazy", Fallout Boy's "This ain't a scene", Avenged Sevenfold's "Beast and the Harlot", "Take it like a Woman" by Alice Cooper, the Frey's "How to save a life", Idlewild with "I want a warning" and "What hurts the most" by Rascall Flatts. I'm also a big fan of classical music, especially liking Bach("Air" in particular) and Beethoven.
Oh dear, I think this is going to be difficult(mainly as I'm a complete and utter film fanatic). I think my best bet is to try and go for a top 10 as to give you a taster of what I'm into. Firstly, I think we're going to have to start with one of the greatest cult films of all time..."The Rocky Horror Picture Show"; transvestite aliens with a penchant for singing and a liking for...well..anything really. I also love "Silence of the lambs"...fantastic film, and Hannibal Lecter has got to be one of the most intriguing characters ever created. "Hello Clarice...". What else..."The usual suspects" methinks, mainly for the fact that I guessed the ending before it was revealed and so felt rediculously smug with myself for a few hours(tragic, I know). Then there's also "Die Hard" for both entertainment and bonding with males purposes. "Amelie", because it's so wonderful..."Leon", because I believe Gary Oldman to be on top form in that film(his finest role by far), followed by "The Aadams Family"...oh, the fond childhood memories..
I also really like "Edward Scissorhands" for it's fabulous fairytale like quality and, as in Disney's "Beauty and the Beast", the storyline just teaches so many right things about life(most profoundly, that it is what's inside someone that matters). "Sin City" is another film I absolutely love...it's just so arty and cool. Finally I'll go for.....oh the suspence......"Beetlejuice"....fantastic film, and Michael Keaton's best role by far.
As for films I'd like to see, again, there's a very long list, which includes:
Pan's Labyrinth(why does it have to be sold out wherever I go ?!), Vincent, Big Fish, Plan 9 from outer space(just because it's supposed to be the worst film ever, and i'd like to judge for myself), The deer hunter...the list goes on and on.
I don't really get to watch to much television at the moment, but if I had to choose my favourite TV programmes they would have to be "Friends"(Chandler Bing, you legend), "Scrubs", "Ugly Betty", "Frasier", "Buffy"
.......What else...well,I apppreciate any kind of comedy programme really(apart from Little Britain...it's so repetitive). I also like cartoons, in particular "odd parents, fairly odd parents...wands and wings, and floaty crowny things..." : ) "CSI" is another programme I quite enjoy, as well as Panel quizshows, in particular, "Have I got news for you", "Never mind the Buzzcocks" and "QI"(Alan Davis...the unsung hero of the comedy world!).
Favourite book would have to be, "Flowers in the attic" by Virginia Andrews, "Red Dragon" by Thomas Harris, Stephen King's "The green mile", and"The DaVinci Code" by Dan Brown. I also love most things Edward Gorey related, as well as Grimm's and Anderson's Fairytales. In terms of plays, which I also see as books, I particularly love "Dr Faustus" by Christopher Marlow
and "Much ado about nothing" by William Shakespeare(Beatrice and Bennedict are amazing!).
Books I would like to read include:
"Mostly Harmless"(as I've read all the others in the Hitchhiker's series), "I, Lucifer", "Paradise Lost", "Wuthering Heights", and any book which can educate me in a, as I would see it, worhtwhile manner.
Above all, my biggest hero in life is "Amelie". She's so wonderful with such a kind heart and see the world in a most amazing way.
But there are quite a few more....among them, the cast from the Circus of Horrors, my mother, and of course,
the ultimate Hero any woman should have, MAGENTA from The Rocky Horror Show!!! She's funny, saucy, a "most beautiful sister" and gets to wear one of the best outfits in a movie...ever.
And of course, let us not forget about the goddess that is.......Dita Von Teese...
Feel the glamour.....
