Strike-eye

Strike-eye: At home and at home.

About Me

Born in 2002, Strike-eye started life as a 3 piece rock-pop trio playing a pretty traditional mixture of new music and covers. Touring the pub circuit and noob venues in Bristol intensely for their first 12 months, Strike-eye gained a second guitar player and began to focus more on their own material than non stop gigging and in 2004 recorded their first album, Hyperock One, in two sessions at Dockside Studios.Over the next few years they concentrated more on writing and rehearsing and played regularly only in support of their friends The Get-Outs. A self made collective of 3 bands had developed, consisting mainly of The Get-Outs (and extended family), The RV Cartel and Strike-eye. The collective became known as Kitchen Rock Records and has so far been the father of the Angry Rum ep, The Get-Outs own self titled album and the first of the Strike-eye songs that belong to the next, as yet unfinished album. No man can stop it.

Sounds Like: Decode Magazine:"Strike Eye display an overwhelming amount of potential. Churned up in black sea noises and a whole lot of cool, the band sounded like Billy Corgan enjoying a gang-rape session with Audioslave. The set was fast paced but controlled, with an evident, almost dramatic structure. The climax of Pink Sound Poetic rescued the set at a particularly self indulgent juncture, whilst Music You Can't Dance To struck a lasting chord of tenacity and determination that will make it hard for anyone to dismiss this band without a second listen."See that, thats officially the Tenacious D seal of approval (it isn't, we don't want to get sued).
