ABOUT SKYLIGHT THEORY
We are a 5-piece metal / screamo band from Somerset
After forming in Febuary 2006, we hit gigs as just a 4-piece. Realising that we sounded too empty, we got another guitarist, and strated gigging again in July.
We have been lucky enough to have shared a stage with some of the best bands the UK has to offer, including; Devil Sold His Soul, Flood Of Red, Exit Ten, Skindred, Tokyo Rose (USA), Dopamine, Nato, The Chase, My Turn To Kill and Midasuno!
With an average age of just 19, we are still just a bunch of kids, chasing a dream. And since being picked up by AFTER THE BLACKOUT RECORDS, this brings us ever closer to that dream, with new oppurtunites arising every day!
We are simply in this for the music, and for the experience.
We've made some absolutely amazing friends along the way, and always look forward to new gigs, new venues, and new bands that we get to play with!
We just want to thank each and every one of you, the people that go absolutely insane in the mosh pits for us, and the people that dont just consider us another screamo band!
Without people like you turning up at our shows and supporting us, there'd be no point in doing what were doing! So thanks to you all!!!

MIDNIGHT MANGO:
(7th December 2006 w/ Skindred)
The Skylight Theory are a 5 piece up-and-coming band from Bridgwater, Somerset, who play their own blend of screamo and new punk. In the short time they have been together they have played gigs across Somerset, playing with established artists such as Devil Sold His Soul and Midasuno along the way. Their reputation for filling out venues and impressive live show is growing from town to town, which is quite impressive for a band that have been together less then 10 months and doesn’t have a member over the age of 21.
ROCKBEAST:
(16th June 2006 w/ Exit Ten)
Replacing First Signs Of Frost, Skylight Theory didn’t waste anytime in taking advantage of their slot. It was evident who has influenced The Skylight Theory or at least bands they sound like mixing together From First To Last and The Used among others. With a lot of friends out to support them tonight The Skylight Theory got things truly moving tonight for the first time and they may be playing in a genre that is now very tired and packed to exploding but the thing The Skylight Theory have over a lot of other young bands is, their actually good at it.
